About Tim Braden
Tim and his sister Leigh spent a pretty idyllic youth growing
up in a community on Lake Mohawk, New Jersey. The warmer months
were spent boating, water skiing, horseback riding, fishing, playing
golf and tennis while the winter months were spent skiing and ice
skating. Their parents lived there for 30 years before retiring
to North Carolina.
Tim followed in his father’s footsteps and graduated from
Colgate University in Hamilton, New York and then proceeded to go
into the printing business with his Dad. The next 12 years were
spent growing what became a very successful business. Fortunately
or unfortunately, Tim was not as enamored with the printing business
as his father, but was really excited about the thought of a career
in sales. Having been a member of local Volunteer Rescue Squads
from the age of 17, he went into the sale of Rescue trucks for a
period of time… and then having moved from New Jersey to Charlottesville,
VA. he followed in his mother’s footsteps and began a career
in Real Estate.
He recalls going out with his Mom during his teenage years, “We
would travel the countryside previewing properties and assessing
prices… talking about house qualities and community attributes”.
Tim believes his love of sales began way back then. In fact his
sister Leigh followed in those same footsteps and is currently a
Realtor® in Annapolis, Maryland. Tim’s love of Real Estate
sales comes not only from his Mother’s success and enthusiasm
for the industry, but from Tim’s own experience in moving
here and now introducing his many client’s to our region.
“I love selling in this very special corner of the world,
but it doesn’t really feel like a sales career. I like talking
to people… what their Real Estate needs are, what they want
and then figuring out how I can help them make that happen.”
Tim and his wife, Karen currently enjoy life in their country home
located on 19 acres in Greene County along with their two dogs.
Tim continues his service to the community as a member of the Greene
County Rescue Squad. Karen enjoys her work at UVA Hospital as a
Pediatric Intensive-Care Nurse. Family time is spent golfing, biking
and hiking the Blue Ridge.
